Gowtham is new icon of filmmaking
Gowtham Menon could bag double success with a single venture. With Ye Maya Chesave in Telugu and Vinnathaandi Varuvayaa in Tamil being declared as realistic romantic love stories, the director started received applause from all over the South.
Ace director K. Balachander, who watched the film in Tamil, immediately darted a letter of appreciation to Gowtham.
The contents of the letter read as: “I revere SS Vasan for his realistic treatment on the screen. Next is AV Moyyappa Chettiyar, who believes his teammates to the sky. For myself, I mostly targeted the subjects that revolve round the urban middle class. Coming to yourself, I found tremendous balance in your approach towards characterization and the way how you had chiseled out each character. The chemistry between you and AR Rehman is superb. Scene by scene, everything is beautiful. You are the new icon of the South. I hope you would take the image of the modern filmmaking to further heights.”
Meanwhile, sources said that about half a dozen filmmakers in Tollywood rushed to Gowtham, as and when the hit talk of Ye Maya Chesava spread like wildfire.
