Julia Roberts converted to HINDUISM
Ever since shooting wrapped she confesses she often visits temples to "chant, pray and celebrate."
Julia, who was born to a Baptist and Catholic couple in the US, hopes to be reincarnated as "something quiet" after the stress of her celebrity lifestyle.
She told Elle magazine: "I’m definitely a practicing Hindu. Golly, I’ve been so spoiled with my friends and family in this life. Next time I want to be just something quiet and supporting."
During filming in India last year, Julia completely immersed herself in the Hindu culture and was "astounded" during a visit to the Taj Mahal.
In Eat, Pray and Love, Julia plays a woman hoping to find herself through Hindu spirituality. The movie is already getting a lot of buzz so if you haven’t done so already, mark your calendars for August 13th–see you at the theaters!
