Aamir khan’s efforts to clean up the Druk White Lotus School (now famous as Ranchos School because it featured in ‘3 Idiots’) is truly commendable. The Bollywood Superstar has approached a corporate company to help clear the mud and sludge that submerged the school after those massive floods that shook Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The school is located at Shey about 15 km from the Leh - Manali highway. On request of Aamir, the company has deployed heavy earth moving equipment and several engineers to help save the Druk White Lotus School.
A team of 75 people are clearing the mud in the school. The same company is working on two engineering project sites in Ladakh and Kargil regions. Besides this, the firm is also assisting in reconstruction and repair work of roads and bridges on the Leh - Kargil road. And with Aamir lending support it will definitely boost their morale.
That’s the kind heart of aamir khan and Ranchos School has been one of the best schools for poor locals in that area.
